After 5 years of being exclusively members only, Wicksteed Carp Lake will soon open as a Day-Ticket water
Wicksteed 'Lagoon' becomes Wicksteed Carp Lake
Our exclusive water will now be open to all anglers. To kick-start the opening of this famous local venue, we are significantly increasing the Carp stock in March 2022. Exact weights and numbers will be confirmed at the time of stocking but we can report that we will have at least 10 fish going in over the magical 20lb mark, with plenty of other high doubles to back these up.
Day-Ticket Fishing
We are delighted to announce that from April 1st 2022 we will be offering DAY TICKET fishing at Wicksteed Carp Lake.
Membership will also be available on a unique rolling-monthly contract to suit your campaign, without locking you in to annual subscriptions.
New Bait Range
To give our new fish the best start and the opportunity to grow even bigger, we have negotiated a bait deal with our new fish suppliers. This will mean that we are able to supply A+ quality boilies and pellets to our anglers at a fantastic price point - more news on this soon.
Weed Control
After years of battling with excessive weed growth in the Lagoon, we are now in a position to cut the weed back and keep it at bay. After an extensive weed cutting, we will treat the Lagoon with a blue lake dye which will significantly inhibit new weed growth by reducing light penetration.
Existing Edge Angling Club Members
Edge Angling Club as an official entity will be dissolved at midnight 25th March 2022. All paid current memberships will be honoured up to that time. After this point, Wicksteed Carp Lake will be open to all anglers. Those who were Edge Angling Club 2020-2021 members will automatically be granted a free 24hr ticket to use in the 22-23 season, and a lifetime discount on all Edge Angling tickets, bait & merchandise.
Be sure to keep an eye on our social media channels for special announcements, special offers and the latest information on Wicksteed Carp Lake.
How much are the tickets going to be & can we park down near the lake
ReplyDeleteHi Mick, prices will be released soon but you can expect them to be in line with what you'd expect to pay at other venues. Parking will be close to the Lake, less than 5 mins with your barrow to the closest swims
DeleteThankyou if you can keep informed
ReplyDeleteHi Mick, we'd be glad to. If you would like to complete the contact form on the front page (or menu on mobile) we can add you to our mailing list
