Hand-Sharpened Hook puts first Carp on the bank

Tenacious IBHOOKS team overcome tough conditions to put the very first Wicksteed Carp Lake fish on the bank.

Cold winds and plunging temperatures were hardly ideal conditions for Ian Burkhill, James Geary and the gang to catch a fish for the cameras.  But, persistence paid off in the form of this immaculate example of our new Emperor strain fish.

Finding the fish proved to be the first hurdle as the bitter north-westerly forced the fish out of the shallows that had warmed up in the nice weather the week before.  With nothing giving its location away, up went the drone to find the elusive Carp.

With the fish found shoaled up behind the floating islands, both Ian & James deployed fresh rigs on their location.  Twenty minutes later; fish on!
