It turns out that trying to purchase a new outboard motor at the hight of holiday season, in a supply chain compromised post pandemic economy, can be a bit tricky.

Those who follow our Facebook page will have seen our weed beating contraption that we constructed a few weeks back - essentially a 'normal' row boat equipped with a large weed rake on the front and an outboard on the back.

It was actually quite effective, but just lacked the necessary grunt to get through the stubborn stuff and the pace of removal was very, well...slow.

But, all that will soon change when our new supercharged version is set loose on the weed in a couple of weeks time (just for clarity, it isn't actually supercharged, just a lot more powerful!).

Once the Edge Weedmaster is upgraded, we will set about hoovering up the surface weed and depositing it well out of the way of the viable fishing spots - freeing up a lot more water to allow a greater number of anglers on at any time.
